Organic Bowel Cleanse from Renew Life The Digestive Care Company.
Organic Bowel Cleanse is a 30 day colon cleansing formula comprised of a mixture of 3 organic fibres and herbal ingredients. It works to remove toxins and old, hardened fecal matter from the colon by three processes.
First, it provides fibre, which helps to cleanse the bowel /colon. Organic Bowel Cleanse contains a combination of flax seed, oat bran, and acacia gum which provide a blend of soluble and insoluble fibre similar to what is found naturally in food. This blend of fibre works to thoroughly clean the walls of the bowel / colon region.
Second, it works to stimulate peristalsis in the colon. Peristalsis is the colon's natural muscular movement, which moves material out of the colon. This is an extremely important aspect of colon cleansing.
Organic Bowel Cleanse includes the peristaltic herb rhubarb root. Rhubarb root is better than harsh laxatives such as cascara sagrada or senna, which are purgative in nature. These purgative herbs can be addictive over time. Further, they tend to remove food that is currently being ingested, versus removing hardened matter.
Third, Organic Bowel Cleanse works to soothe and reduce inflammation of the colon/bowel. If you have material in your colon for a long period of time, chances are it has damaged the intestinal lining to some degree. Therefore, soothing the area and reducing inflammation of the intestinal lining is important.
It is important to note that colon cleansing will not alleviate constipation if you currently have it. In order to cleanse the colon effectively, you need to already be having at least 1 bowel movement per day.
Why do we need to Cleanse? In today's world we are exposed to an innumerable amount of toxins, they're in our food, air, water, in the workplace and even at home. Proper elimination of these toxins is critical to maintaining optimal health and well being. The human body does an incredible job of eliminating harmful wastes, however over time toxins can accumulate, leading to an overwhelmed digestive system. When the digestive system becomes unable to efficiently eliminate toxins we become overloaded with toxins and this may set the stage for future disease and illness.
To assist your body's natural cleansing abilities, try:
- Reducing stress where possible through deep breathing techniques or meditation.
- Exercise, even if its only a 30 minute walk.
- Try to maintain a regular sleeping pattern getting 7-8 hours of sleep daily.
- Eat fresh fruits and vegetables daily, organic if possible.
- Get adequate protein from fish, free range chicken or turkey are good choices.
- Choose healthy whole grains: millet, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, spelt, brown rice.
- Take essential fatty acids from fish, flax, salmon or borage oils.
- Take a high quality fiber supplement.
Medical research has conclusively shown the benefits of high fiber diets. Fiber is the indigestible parts of fruits, seeds, vegetables, whole grains and other edible plants. Fiber is generally classified as either soluble or insoluble.
Soluble fiber is that which easily dissolves in water. Fruit pectin is an example of soluble fiber. Soluble fibers lead to the production of short chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which support the nourishment of the cells of the large intestine and promote digestive. SCFAs also help maintain cholesterol levels that are already within the normal range.
Insoluble fiber is not easily dissolved in water. Wheat bran is an insoluble fiber. Insoluble fibers contain roughage which helps tone the bowel.* Research has also shown that insoluble fiber may play a role in reducing intestinal permeability.
Benefits of a high fiber diet may include:
- Helps maintain cholesterol levels already within the normal range
- Supports healthy blood sugar levels when used as part of the diet
- Improve bowel function
- Feed intestinal bacteria
- Decrease intestinal permeability
- Assist the body in the elimination of toxins
Intestinal Health
The intestine is the main absorptive area of the digestive tract. It is essentially a tube with a thin mucosal lining and lots of blood vessels on the inside and muscles around the outside. It has its own immune tissue called GALT, or gut associated lymphoid tissue. The inner lining is filled with little fingers, or projection of the mucosa, which greatly increases its absorptive surface.
Lying on the membrane are many friendly organisms, which help our body with the digestive process. The small intestine attaches to the stomach. Near it’s beginning, ducts from the liver and pancreas release digestive juices. These juices mix with the partially digested food from the stomach and continue the digestive process. Nutrients are absorbed through the thin intestinal wall and transported via the bloodstream, to where they are needed. The liver also excretes processed toxins and fats through the bile. These substances must be carried through the intestine without being absorbed.
The remainder of the food is pushed through into the large intestine. The main function of the large intestine is the preparation of stool for excretion. In order to do this the digested food must be dehydrated and compacted. The last bit of nutrients may also be absorbed here.
Some of the most important players in intestinal health are not part of our own body. Friendly intestinal bacteria, often called Probiotics, are an essential part of digestion. They break down food particles, manufacture vitamins and prevent the infection of the tract with other microbes. Each bowel movement actually contains millions of these friendly bacteria; they are in a constant state of renewal. Many concerns like indigestion, gas, bloating and constipation can be due to an imbalance of the intestinal bacteria. It is easy to upset this balance by improper diet or taking medications like antibiotics.
