Renew Life - FibreSMART

Renew Life - FibreSMART

FibreSMART is a unique dietary fibre supplement, which is available in two forms: in a powdered supplement that can be mixed into water or juice, or in a capsule form.

FibreSMART's dietary fibre enhances the body's ability to remove toxins and increases the volume of your stool. It is not only a source of dietary fibre, but a complete digestive care formula. It contains herbal ingredients that work to heal damage to the intestinal tract.

Most people take dietary fibre to reduce constipation, however, most constipation is due largely to dehydration in the colon. Almost 95% of the fibre products sold in the market are made from psyllium fibre. Psyllium is a highly water-soluble fibre, which means that it absorbs water. This can further dehydrate the colon, making most people even more constipated.

FibreSMART contains flax seed, acacia fibre and guar gum which contains a blend of 50% soluble fibre and 50% insoluble fibre. This ratio allows FibreSMART to absorb toxins, excess cholesterol, and increase elimination - without the constipating side effects created by other fibre products.

FiberSMART is more than a dietary fiber supplement; it is a high fiber formula that promotes digestive tract and bowel health. FiberSMART is a soothing and nourishing blend of organic flax fiber, probiotics, herbs and amino acids and specially formulated for sensitive colons. FiberSMART contains a blend of organic flax fiber and guar gum, which together provide the balance of soluble to insoluble fiber that nature intended.

A diet rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains provides an approximate ratio of 25-35% soluble fiber and 65-75% insoluble fiber. While both types of fiber are important in maintaining good health, the balance is equally important in promoting regularity. Too much soluble fiber can worsen a constipation or gas problem for some people. FiberSMART helps to maintain a healthy bacterial balance in the small & large intestines with 900 million live Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria cultures and FOS in every serving.

Why Take Fiber?
Medical research has conclusively shown the benefits of high fiber diets. Fiber is the indigestible parts of fruits, seeds, vegetables, whole grains and other edible plants. Fiber is generally classified as either soluble or insoluble.

Soluble fiber is that which easily dissolves in water. Fruit pectin is an example of soluble fiber. Soluble fibers lead to the production of short chain fatty acids (SCFAs), which support the nourishment of the cells of the large intestine and promote digestive. SCFAs also help maintain cholesterol levels that are already within the normal range.

Insoluble fiber is not easily dissolved in water. Wheat bran is an insoluble fiber. Insoluble fibers contain roughage which helps tone the bowel. Research has also shown that insoluble fiber may play a role in reducing intestinal permeability.
Which type of fiber is best?

Both soluble and insoluble fiber are important, and FiberSMART contains both!

Why choose FiberSMART?

  • FiberSMART is made with flax, unlike most other powdered fibers that are made of psyllium.
  • Flax fiber does not bind, swell, or gel like psyllium-based fiber products.
  • FiberSMART’s flax fiber can be tolerated by many individuals sensitive to psyllium.
  • Flax contains lignins, which strengthen fiber cells, thought to help the body’s defense system.
  • FiberSMART is not just fiber - it’s also fortified with additional ingredients beneficial to digestive health.

Benefits of a high fiber diet may include:

  • Helps maintain cholesterol levels already within the normal range
  • Supports healthy blood sugar levels when used as part of the diet
  • Improve bowel function
  • Feed intestinal bacteria
  • Decrease intestinal permeability

Intestinal Health
The intestine is the main absorptive area of the digestive tract. It is essentially a tube with a thin mucosal lining and lots of blood vessels on the inside and muscles around the outside. It has its own immune tissue called GALT, or gut associated lymphoid tissue. The inner lining is filled with little fingers, or projection of the mucosa, which greatly increases its absorptive surface.

Lying on the membrane are many friendly organisms, which help our body with the digestive process. The small intestine attaches to the stomach. Near it’s beginning, ducts from the liver and pancreas release digestive juices. These juices mix with the partially digested food from the stomach and continue the digestive process. Nutrients are absorbed through the thin intestinal wall and transported via the bloodstream, to where they are needed. The liver also excretes processed toxins and fats through the bile. These substances must be carried through the intestine without being absorbed.

The remainder of the food is pushed through into the large intestine. The main function of the large intestine is the preparation of stool for excretion. In order to do this the digested food must be dehydrated and compacted. The last bit of nutrients may also be absorbed here.

Some of the most important players in intestinal health are not part of our own body. Friendly intestinal bacteria, often called probiotics, are an essential part of digestion. They break down food particles, manufacture vitamins and prevent the infection of the tract with other microbes. Each bowel movement actually contains millions of these friendly bacteria; they are in a constant state of renewal. Many concerns like indigestion, gas, bloating and constipation can be due to an imbalance of the intestinal bacteria. It is easy to upset this balance by improper diet or taking medications like antibiotics.

Directions: Capules: Take 4 capsules per day in the morning with 250ml (1 glass of water). May be repeated at midday and evening if required. Do not exceed 12 capsules per day.

Powder: Take 1 scoop (7.5g) per day in the morning with 250ml (1 glass of water). May be repeated at midday and evening if required.

FibreSMART should be taken on an empty stomach away from other supplements or medications. Taking FibreSMART once or twice per day depends on your diet. It is widely recommended that you consume 30 to 40 grams of dietary fibre daily. The average person consumes between 10 to 20 grams of fibre per day through their diet, well below what is required. FibreSMART should be taken daily on an ongoing basis. It is especially important to take extra fibre during a time of cleansing

Warnings: Discontinue use if abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea occurs. Do not use if you have acute cough, bowel obstruction, or early state dysentery (bacterial infection causing blood in tool). Consult your doctor regarding use if pregnant, nursing, or after recent surgery. Keep out of reach of children
