Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis canadensis), also known as Yellow Root, is a traditional Native American remedy, guaranteed to contain 5% total alkaloids.

Goldenseal Root which is harvested from the wild in the Appalachian Mountains of the Eastern United States. Golden Seal is an endangered herb so Nature's Way use only cultivated crops. An immune system stimulant, Golden Seal root is specific for all problems of the mucous membranes and has been found to be helpful to the digestive system and uterus. It affects the immune system by stimulating the production of white blood cells. Constituents have also been shown to lower blood pressure, stimulate digestion and the secretion of bile and inhibit the growth of bacteria. It is good for infectious diarrhoea and gastritis, ulcers, colitis and inflammation. Goldenseal root is twice the potency of golden seal herb.

Common Uses: Used internally for any infection, gastric or duodenal ulcers, mucous membrane inflammation, irritation or infection, colitis, upper respiratory tract catarrh. Topically it may be used neat or added to garlic oil for ear infections, tinnitus, mouth ulcers, acne, fungal infections, impetigo, thrush, infected eczema, cold sores, conjunctivitis (with boiled water as a wash) etc.

Ingredients: Each capsule contains 535mg of Golden Seal Root which is harvested from the wild in the Appalachian Mountains of the Eastern United States.

Directions: Take 1 capsule twice daily, preferably with food. For best results use continuously for at least one week. For intensive use consult your healthcare professional.
